Updated 2/8/21: Clarification on Governor’s Proclamation
In light of the recent statewide lifting of many COVID-19 mitigation requirements, Ankeny Schools’ activities will continue to follow social distancing guidelines and mask requirements.
All CIML activity departments will continue to abide by social distancing guidelines established by the Polk County Health Department, Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, Iowa High School Athletic Association, and Centers for Disease Control.
As a result, Ankeny Schools will follow these guidelines for CIML events to keep our student athletes and fans safe.
Basketball
Varsity Players will be issued 4 wristbands to distribute to family, Lower Level Players will be issued 2 wristbands to distribute to family. We will limit visitor fans to 2 tickets per student athlete and the local school districts will determine crowd limitations based on social distancing guidelines recommended by Polk County Health Department, Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, Iowa High School Athletic Association, & CDC. CIML member schools will continue to monitor, update, and communicate our information and procedures to keep everyone as safe as possible. Cheer & Dance will continue to receive 2 wristbands at games they perform.
Swimming
Swimming will restrict visiting fans and we will issue 2 wristbands to swimmers based on social distancing guidelines recommended by Polk County Health Department, Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, Iowa High School Athletic Association, & CDC. CIML member schools will continue to monitor, update, and communicate our information and procedures to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Bowling
