Spring Musical
Ankeny Centennial Drama is producing The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee for their spring musical! An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box. Performance dates are April 21 & 22 at 7:00 p.m. and April 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the ACHS auditorium. Adult are $15 and student tickets (PK-12) are $10. Tickets can be purchased in advance at achsdrama.ludus.com or at the door an hour prior to show time.
