Marching Band occurs as part of the instrumental music courses and includes all instrumental music students in 9-12th Grade as well as any color guard members not in instrumental music. Rehearsals occur before school (7:00-8:00am) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and on Tuesday evenings (7:00-9:00pm). The Tuesday evening rehearsals are extended for percussion and color guard students (6:00-9:00pm). During the marching season, morning rehearsals will continue into the school day. 10-12th grade instrumental music students will rehearse 1st Period. 9th grade instrumental music students rehearse during 3rd period. All rehearsals occur at Northview Middle School and Ankeny Stadium. Performances include all home football games, as well as a few competitions during September and October. The season culminates in our performance at the Mid-Iowa Band Championships, our home competition. Dates and times for performances can be found on our Calendar page.
